Maine Investor-Owned Utilities vs Consumer-Owned Utilities Delivery Cost in Maine 2021

Maine’s for-profit utilities (CMP and Versant) charge Mainers 49% more on average than consumer-owned utilities.

Mainers pay the 10th highest residential electricity rates in the nation.

CMP hiked their delivery rate 13% last August while Versant’s rate rose 17.5% in November (they asked for 25%).
